A session with purpose
What children
may practise.
The exact content depends on ability, but each session should connect confidence with meaningful skill development.
Entering and settlingBuild comfort with the pool and session environment
Breathing and body positionLearn the foundations of calm, efficient movement
Propulsion and coordinationConnect kicking, arm action and breathing
Practice and progressionRepeat skills with feedback before adding challenge
Practice in the water strengthens important skills, but it does not make a child completely water-safe and never replaces close adult supervision.
Swimming FAQ
Before the first session.
How is the right swimming group chosen?
Placement depends on familiarity, level, class format and availability. Reception confirms the appropriate next step.
What if my child is nervous around water?
Inform reception. A patient, progressive approach supports familiarisation without pressure and allows each child to build confidence at their own pace.
Are sessions held in a heated pool?
Yes. Lessons take place year-round in a heated pool at 32°C, providing a more comfortable environment for familiarisation and practice.
Are groups small?
Yes. Small groups allow more individual attention, clearer feedback and encouragement at every stage.
What should the child bring?
Your child will need a swimsuit, a compulsory swimming cap, goggles and a towel. Before the first lesson, reception can provide information about the changing rooms.
Where can I find swimming prices?
Fees depend on the class and timetable. View the Prices page, and reception will confirm the final amount and availability.
